a Teen
Experience takes place once a year on PSI's High Valley Ranch. Teens
gather from around North America and sometimes Japan for seven days
of exciting growth opportunities. The week consists of both indoor,
outdoor, individual and group exercises / events. a Teen
Experience is unique among the seminars we offer here at PSI, in
that it's staffed entirely by teens and young adults. We've
discovered this environment provides an excellent forum for teens to
honestly address issues that are important to them without having to
overcome generational barriers. The seminar is run primarily by
Jenessa W. Meyers, herself a graduate of Teen Experience. Also
present during the week is Ernestine Fischer, our Director of
Instruction here at PSI, as well as other key adults, including an
emergency room RN. a Some
topics addressed during the week are:
- Self-esteem
- Honesty
- Peer-Pressure
- Service to others
- The value of Risk
- Developing a new relationship to
Fear
- Trust
